About Us
Fred has been actively involved with the wine industry since 1984 when he established La Creole Fruit Company in Rickreall, Oregon. At that time the wine industry in the Willamette Valley was in its infancy. He helped many of the small start up wineries with their harvest equipment. During that time he owned the building that now houses Eola Hills Wine Cellars, watching as Ken Wright of Ken Wright Cellers produced the first wines for Eola. He has seen the growth of the industry spread up and down the Valley, eventually selling 400A of his own farm to William Hill and Associates (Napa Valley) & serving as a consultant on the vineyard land preparation.
After graduating from Oregon State University with a BS degree in Business and Technology and a minor in Forestry, Fred entered the family farm which harvested a variety of fruits, vegetables, grains and grass seed. Later Fred moved to Mosier, Oregon where he farmed cherries and pears. His natural progression into Vineyard and Farm and Ranch sales evolved after 50+ years of experience working with land. In 1999 he started his Real Estate practice and has since sold over $12,500,000 in vineyard and ranch properties.
Vineyard Properties Northwest was formed because of Fred’s many associations within the wine & farming communities and makes him a valuable part of your “team” whether you are buying or selling land for vineyard establishment or farming operations.
